Description
Flower Power Person small #1, sculpture by Stephen Baxter is another work in the ongoing series incorporating the 1960s anime superhero, Astro Boy with a blow-up flower as the initial reference points and Mickey Mouse gloved hands. The work continues Baxter’s investigation and experimentation with Bricolage and the found object. The sculpture is a one-of-a-kind ceramic artwork made from porcelain with a crazed clear glaze, Indian ink is rubbed into the crazing to accentuate it. The piece also features “kintsugi” elements with 24k gold leaf.
