Making videos is something Baxter does from time to time to record travels, events, and special art pieces, exhibitions, or ideas that don’t translate into other mediums easily.
“‘Francine’, is a video made from a random meeting with a person that asked for money while we were on a holiday in N.Y. We met Francine while walking around Yale, N.Y. She stopped us in the street and offered to share a spoken word poem for a few bucks. As she spoke, I thought her story should be shared, and I asked for a second poem so I could record and share it. This is the second version, which was completely different from the first. That was in 2013, I hope Francine is OK and still sharing her poems today”. 🙂
